Breaking a bad habit
I illustrate about 8 to 12 hours a day. After awhile I feel as though I'm working in a void. I've come to the conclusion I need to sketch(digital) from reference at least 10-30 minutes a day. I'll put them on my sight to keep me on top of it. I'll upload them to scraps at the end of the week.
Between the sketchbook in my coat pocket and dry erase pen in the shower, I believe I can put in an extra 2 hours a day.

Why so many cartoons
My day job with Marvel Comics tends to be darker(Ghost Rider). The cartoons balance out the images of blood, mayhem, skulls and and demons. Though it might make it seem even worse in comparison.
